Things To Note Before Arriving At The Airport


  • You must have the necessary identification such as voter’s ID card, National Health Insurance Card, Driver’s License, Passport or any form of Government identification. You would be required to provide any of the above at check-in. You cannot travel with Unity Air without any of these valid photo ID cards.
  • Ensure your bags are within the weight limits before travel.
  • If you are a special needs passenger, we advise early arrival at the airport for us to process your documents.

At The Airport

AIRPORT CHECK-IN

We recommend you arrive at the airport at least 45 minutes and not later than 30 minutes before scheduled time of departure. You are required to present a valid government issued ID at check-in. No photocopies and/or phone snapshots of ID cards would be accepted.

SEAT ASSIGNMENT

Seat assignment will be conducted at the airport. On the E120ER aircraft, port side seats (single row seats) will be allocated to Premium passengers. In addition, Premium passengers who travel together will be assigned the first 2 rows of twin seats and so forth. Value and Promo fare class passengers will be allocated twin seats ONLY.

ON BOARD

Our Embraer 120ER aircraft offers 30 seats.
The flight crew is composed of a Captain, a First Officer and a maximum of 2 Cabin Attendants.

IN-FLIGHT SERVICE

Fresh fruit juice, yoghurt and a snack would be served on board.

BAGGAGE

CARRY ON
Unity Air only allows one piece of cabin baggage plus one smaller carry-on item such as small handbags for men/women, small cameras, reading material, laptop bags and small backpacks onboard the aircraft.

The carry on should weigh no more than 5kg and be able to fit under the seat in front of you. It is recommended travelling with soft-side bags so that they can be made to fit in the overhead bin and under the seat in front of you.

Cabin bags that do not fit in the overhead bin or under the seats will be placed in the hold of the aircraft and will be handed over to passengers upon disembarkation.

CHECKED BAGGAGE
Baggage allowance for checked baggage is 23Kgs for Economy. The maximum acceptable weight for each single piece of checked-in baggage is 30 Kgs. Baggage which exceeds this weight will not be accepted for carriage. Weight in excess of 23 kgs will attract charges as noted below:

EXCESS CHARGES
Any additional kilogram exceeding our free baggage allowance of 25kg would cost GH¢5.00 per kilogram.

BAGGAGE HANDLING
We would ensure that any baggage entrusted into our care is safely returned at your destination. In the event your baggage is delayed or lost beyond our control, you will be asked to complete a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) form based upon which you will be issued a reference number to enable enquiry about your property. If your bag is lost in transit, we apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you notify our Unity Air agent, complete a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) form to receive a file reference so we can work on locating your baggage.

SPORTS EQUIPMENT
Unity Air accepts sporting equipment subject to availability of space during check-in.
During booking of flight, passengers MUST inform our agents of their wish to travel with sporting equipment.
Types of Equipment Acceptable;

  • Bicycles, Surfboards and those for
  • Fishing, Golf, Hockey and Water-Ski

Packaging of Sports Equipment
All equipment must be suitably packaged in a rigid and/or hard-shell container specifically designed for shipping. Unity Air has the right to refuse any equipment which is deemed a dangerous good, unsafe or not properly packaged.
